Action Direct's ZAP 825-3 Commercial Light Duty Operator is the safest, quietest, smallest side mount DC operator in the garage door industry today. We assemble each operator in Strongsville, Ohio with SafetySense technology, which is one of the industry’s most advanced obstruction detection systems. SafetySense allows the Zap operator to detect an obstruction on any part of the door, whether it’s opening or closing to protect you, your door and its surroundings. The model 825-3 is built for light duty commercial operations with a 1/2HP motor that is capable of running sectional overhead garage doors up to 160 square feet in size and 600 pounds in balanced weight. It includes track configurations such as low headroom, standard lift, high lift, and full vertical lift.

Like all of our Zap operators, the motor assembly does not include chains and sprockets and the unnecessary noise in your garage or shop that comes with them. Instead, they contain the motor, two pulleys, and one belt, which means no chains or sprockets making all that unnecessary noise in your garage or shop. The 825-3 requires 6 ¼” of side clearance and 3 ½” above the center of your spring shaft to function, so limited space is no issue. The operator is also NEMA 4 rated for water/moisture resistance and offers many program features such as an auto close timer, cycle counter, and service due reminder. You can also incorporate a multitude of auxiliary items on the operator such as interior/exterior lighting, additional wall controls, swipe card devices, dock equipment, motion sensors, alarm systems and much more. Installation only requires one person with a ladder to install the motor assembly onto you or a client's spring shaft. There is nothing that mounts to the wall, jamb, or header area to needlessly complicate things. The Zap control box can be installed with four screws to fasten it to the wall near the door, and powered by plugging it into a nearby outlet (electrical pigtail required). After that, let your door open and close two times and the operator will set its fully open and closed positions automatically.
