Action Direct's Storm Shield is a garage door bottom threshold made from PVC. It is designed to make installation as simple as possible. When installed where your garage door meets the floor, it will prevent water, wind-driven rainwater, snow, dust, dirt and leaves from entering under the garage door, shed, or similar application. The Storm Shield also keeps out rodents, snakes, and other critters that can cause damage to your interior. While the thresholds have not been sent to be certified as ADA compliant, they do fall into the ADA guidelines. Section 404.2.5 states that thresholds, if provided at doorways, should be a maximum height of 1/2 inch.
