Product Overview

  • Motor:
The Model T features a high starting torque, continuous duty industrial motor, protected against overload via either a current-sensing or thermal overload device. Available in 1/2 HP or 3/4 HP, the motor is suitable for both single-phase (115/230V) and three-phase (230/460V) power sources.

  • Controller:
A heavy-duty, full-voltage across-the-line magnetic reversing contactor is used for motor control. This is both mechanically and electrically interlocked, housed within a NEMA 1 enclosure integrated into the operator.

  • Control Circuitry:
Includes a transformer to step down control voltage to 24 VAC, with dedicated terminal strips for power supply and control device connections. The operator is pre-wired for an open/close/stop control station, with on-board control buttons for convenient servicing and adjustments.

  • Drive Mechanism:
The drive system uses a heavy-duty V-belt for primary reduction and a roller chain and sprocket setup for secondary reduction. A torque-limiting clutch helps prevent overload, while positive chain-driven rotary limit switches control door travel limits without being affected by manual operation or motor removal.

  • Additional Features:

    • Spring-set, solenoid-released brake on 3/4 HP and 1 HP models

    • Manual disconnect arm for door operation during power failure

    • Drive shaft supported by oilite bearings, with a minimum diameter of 3/4”
