LiftMaster 50101 Safety Edge Exterior Air Switch w/ Metal Case

This exterior pneumatic air switch is designed for use with sensing edges to provide obstruction detection on powered doors. Housed in a durable metal case, the switch uses a normally open (N.O.) contact configuration and is commonly paired with pneumatic safety edges.

Sensing edges are intended to be installed on every door to help protect pedestrians and vehicles during door operation. When connected to a compatible operator control system, the edge responds to physical contact by triggering a safety function.

A standard 2-wire pneumatic sensing edge used with this air switch will cause the door to reverse upon contact with an obstruction while closing, provided the operator is equipped with B2, C2, S2, T, T1, or TS type control wiring.
