These commercial-grade torsion springs are engineered for roll-up doors, sectional overhead doors, and other industrial garage applications. Designed to replace worn-out or broken springs, they restore proper door balance and performance.

With standard springs rated for 10,000 cycles and long-life options available up to 25,000 cycles, these springs are built to meet your door’s daily demands. Each spring is pre-installed with cones on both ends for easier installation.

When replacing springs, it is strongly recommended to replace both at the same time—even if only one is broken—to ensure balanced operation and even wear.

Product Highlights

  • Interior Diameters: 1-19/32", 1-3/4", 2", 2-5/8", or 3-3/4"

  • Pre-installed cones on both ends

  • Available in standard (10,000 cycles) or long-life (25,000 cycles)

Note: Long-life springs may require larger dimensions

  • Custom spring lengths available

  • Choose from left-hand or right-hand wound

  • Available in multiple wire sizes to the nearest 1/16 inch

How to Measure

Wire Size
Use a caliper, micrometer, or wire gauge. Alternatively, measure 10 tightly compressed coils to the nearest 1/16", then refer to a spring wire chart. Measuring 20 coils is recommended for accuracy.

Inside Diameter (ID)
Measure the inner diameter of the spring, not including the cones. Common identifiers:

  • 134 or 175 = 1-3/4" ID

  • 258 or 263 = 2-5/8" ID

  • 375 or 334 = 3-3/4" ID

Spring Length
Measure the spring in its unwound state. If broken or distorted, count coils and multiply by wire size:

  • 120 coils × 0.250 wire = 30"

  • 120 coils × 0.375 wire = 45"

Winding Direction
Identify as left-hand wound or right-hand wound. Cone color coding may help:

  • Red = Right-hand

  • Black = Left-hand
